We Have Started Child-Centered Communication Workshops for Communication Professionals

We Have Started Child-Centered Communication Workshops for Communication Professionals

In our work with children, we have observed that one of the significant barriers to change and transformation is the existing perception of children held by adults. Based on this insight, we are conducting studies on “societal perceptions of children” to challenge and transform this mindset, which often disregards children and their rights.

To begin this process, we wanted to raise awareness among communication professionals, who play a highly strategic role in shaping and managing perceptions. Our goal is to encourage professionals working in various fields of communication to undertake impactful and lasting initiatives for children’s rights and remind them of their responsibilities toward children.

In June, we held our first workshop at Pera Museum, where we reviewed our Child-Centered Communication Guide with participants, worked on positive and negative examples of communication, and continued to improve our content based on the feedback we received.

Our workshops will continue through the end of summer. Communication professionals who wish to reserve a spot can contact us at: ceylan.tokcan@sunaninkizlari.org

You can access the Child-Centered Communication Guide.
