Suna Kıraç, with her strong vision, work ethic, discipline, unwavering commitment to her values, and ability to address the core of problems, left a profound legacy not only in the business world but also in education and civil society.
When she said, “I have ideals greater than my lifetime,” she was aware that there were thousands of volunteers sharing her dreams, ready to bring her envisioned future to life. From her initiatives, we learned that the solution doesn’t lie in one person or one institution; the real issue is building an ecosystem together. Through her life, she paved the way for the foundation of some of our country’s most significant educational and civil society institutions. She led the establishment of the Vehbi Koç Foundation, Koç School, Koç University, the Educational Volunteers Foundation of Turkey, and the Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation.
Suna’nın Kızları embarked on its journey to honor the legacy of Suna Kıraç and contribute to realizing the dreams she envisioned for children. It works towards a future where all children feel emotionally and physically safe, never miss out on school or play, have a say in the decisions affecting their lives, and are supported in achieving their dreams.
