IMPLEMENTATION INVESTMENTS Children’s Hubs

We aim to create a supportive ecosystem for children by collaborating with civil society organizations, public institutions, private sector organizations, and other key actors.

Children’s Hubs

Children’s Hubs were established in collaboration with the Ministry of Family and Social Services and our community participant NGOs. These centers aim to provide safe and supportive spaces for children's development in earthquake-affected regions while ensuring that the unique needs of girls, as well as the needs of all children, are addressed during the rebuilding process.

These hubs enable civil society organizations to work together and in coordination with the Ministry of Family and Social Services.

How Do Children Enroll in a Children’s Hub?

Children aged 10-18 living in container cities can apply to benefit from the Children’s Hubs.

Children register at the centers with an accompanying adult and first complete a 10-day Suna’nın Kızları Well-Being Program, which supports their physical and emotional well-being. Afterward, they participate in activities and workshops tailored to their interests and preferences.

At the beginning of the Well-Being Program, children create community agreements about living and learning together, setting their own community rules. After completing the program, children participate in weekly community sessions, where they make decisions about the center’s operations, such as how many people can use shared spaces simultaneously, for how long, and which workshops should continue.
