In May, UN Deputy Secretary-General and UN Women Executive Director Sima Bahous visited Turkey to engage with representatives from the public sector, private sector, women-led civil society organizations, and United Nations officials. During her visit, Bahous held a bilateral meeting with our founder, İpek Kıraç.
In their meeting, İpek Kıraç shared the latest updates on Suna’s Daughters activities and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the government, private sector, civil society, and international organizations to support girls.
Both agreed on the importance of strengthening future collaborations. Bahous described Suna’s Daughters initiatives as a significant model of collective power, highlighting the effectiveness of its collective impact model, which unites communities around shared goals and creates spaces for institutions to listen to one another.
