What Are We Doing?

The circle’s collective impact journey focuses on aligning the existing efforts of participants to ensure girls have access to safe, empowering, and supportive environments, while identifying new initiatives needed to enhance impact. The circle aimed to identify the root causes of barriers faced by girls and design programs to effectively address these barriers. To this end, programs developed by circle participants were piloted in field applications throughout 2023, fostering communities where girls could support one another and collaborate to solve challenges.

The circle also developed a model for establishing a Girls Advisory Team, which will be a key component of Suna’s Daughters governance structure in the medium and long term. This team aims to amplify girls' voices and ensure that implemented programs meet their real needs.

In 2024, the circle will focus on unifying all programs developed for girls within the scope of Suna’s Daughters across implementation areas and creating digital and physical spaces and tools where girls can form communities.

We generate knowledge about the needs of girls and the barriers they face while developing research methods that empower children.
